Everything reminds me of Jon Bon Jovi…

Bon Jovi played Livin’ On A Prayer, Wanted Dead Or Alive and It’s My Life.

Goo Goo Dolls performed American Girl and Iris.

…and he did a very nice job.

Two such talented bands.

Coincidence? I think not…

I had a dream once about being out to dinner with these two…now that would be some fun!

Two of my favorite Jersey Boys…

Living with Notoldjustolder...
My Son: There was this amazing guy at the festival. Flying Lotus. He's related to John...
Notoldjustolder: Bon Jovi?
My Son: Nooooooooooooo Mom. Not everything is about Bon Jovi.
Notoldjustolder: Ok. Who is he related to?
My Son: John Coltrane.
Notoldjustolder: Bon Jovi has a song that talks about John Coltrane. It's called...
My Son: Oh My God Mom!
Notoldjustolder: (Everything goes back to Bon Jovi... ;)

Just my opinion…

I am in no way going to try to defend or sugar coat Jon’s admission in the Q Magazine Article Excerpt that Braydon posted today but what I will say is that whatever Dorothea and Jon have agreed the parameters of their marriage will be is their business.

It also is a different world that they live in than the rest of us so I choose to not judge their choices. I can’t pretend, nor anyone else here, to truly comprehend what “being married to a rockstar” like Jon Bon Jovi would be like. However, the records of Divorce Courts around the country full of other Rock Star/Musician’s broken down unions will back up the point that it cannot be easy.

I guess the thing I respect the most about them as a couple is they have stood the course of time and seem to truly still be in love. Marriage is a long and complicated journey. It is not a fairytale. Many well intended people without the trappings of “rock god” cannot always endure it’s challenges.

Consider that when contemplating Jon’s admission. There is far more to that comment than a 2 second soundbite.

…just my opinion.

Here’s the last man standing
Step right up, he’s the real thing
The last chance of a lifetime
Come and see, hear, feel, the real thing…
